Stanley, Chad Nolan (18 August 1972 – 14 June 2019)

Chad Nolan Stanley, 46, of Humbird passed away June 14, 2019, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. He was born August 18, 1972, in Black River Falls, the son of Randy and Rebecca Stanley.

Chad grew up helping his family run Stanley’s strawberry farm in Humbird. Chad graduated from Lincoln High School in Alma Center in 1990. He continued his education at Winona State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in finance, a master’s degree in school counseling and eventually a specialist degree in educational administration. Throughout his years in Winona, he obtained a pilot’s license, made many life-long friends and met his wife, Randi Rommel.

Chad and Randi were married July 26, 1997. They settled in Chad’s hometown of Humbird, where they continued the family’s Strawberry Farm with their children. Chad also faithfully served the Black River Falls School District for 22 years as a middle school counselor and elementary principal. Shad coached basketball and baseball. Chad was a past president and active member of the North Branch Rod and Gun Club and competed at the Neillsville Trap Club for many years. Chad was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, camping and absolutely loved to fish. Chad had a contagious laugh, charismatic smile and was a devoted friend to many. Chad holds a special place in the hearts of his family and friends. Chad’s fun-loving nature and genuine compassion made him an easy person to confide in. With his grit and determination, he could solve any problem. It is impossible to convey the extraordinary man he was. The void that remains in his absence is indescribable.

Chad is survived by his wife Randi (Rommel) Stanley; children Macaid and Sada Stanley; brother Jack Stanley; sister-in-law Kim Stanley; nieces Elizabeth and Taylor Stanley and Brittany and Katelyn Bue; mother Rebecca Stanley; brother and sister-in-law Ryan and Nicole Rommel; nephews River, Randon and Reece Rommel; mother-and-father-in-law Robin and Heraldine Rommel; and many friends, whom he considered his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Randy Stanley, and his grandparents, Willard and Oviedga Stanley and Gerald and Bernadette Boullion.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2019, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Alma Center with Father Daniel Thelen officiating.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2019, at Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home in Hixton and one hour prior to the service at the church.

A Celebration of Life will take place at the Humbird Rod and Gun Club (N2962 Main Street, Humbird) following the church service from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
