Edward "T-Bear" Pliner, 62, of Pittsville died Thur., Jan. 8, 2009, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
Memorial services will be at 11:30 a.m. Mon., Jan. 12, 2009, at Buchanan Funeral Home, Pittsville. Military rites will be conducted by the VFW and American Legion of Pittsville and Wisconsin Rapids.
Family will greet friends from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Mon. at the funeral home.
He was born April 1, 1946, in Richland Center. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. In 1969, he married Donna (Stanek) Pliner in Iowa. He was employed at Weyerhaeuser in Marshfield for 30 years, retiring in 2003.
He is survived by his parents, Bernard and Olga (Brecka) Pliner of Rockbridge, his wife, Donna (Stanek) Pliner of Pittsville, one daughter, Stephanie (Pete) Belling of West Salem, one brother, Terry (Barb) Pliner of Lone Rock, one sister, Gloria (Reggie) Beighley of Cazenovia and two granddaughters.
Buchanan Funeral Home of Pittsville is assisting the family with arrangements.
