Stillwagon, Karl Dean (18 December 1953 – 16 October 2019)
Karl D. Stillwagon, 65, formerly of Humbird and rural Osseo passed away
Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire.
Karl Dean Stillwagon was born on Dec. 18, 1953, in Salina, Kansas, the son
of Harry and Alta (Pigman) Stillwagon. He was raised in Chapman, Kansas and
graduated from Chapman High School. In 1978 Karl moved to Humbird,
Wisconsin, when he was offered a job as a lineman for CenturyTel. He was
united in marriage to Vicki Doud on Aug. 17, 1979 in Chapman. Together they
lived in Humbird with her 3 children. He eventually moved to rural Osseo and
was living in Garfield Township of rural Osseo when he passed away. Karl
worked for over 20 years as a lineman with the telephone company and had the
reputation as extremely proficient cable splicer. Not only did his
employment take him outdoors, he also enjoyed spending his free time in
nature and had some very special areas that he often visited in the rural
Wisconsin outdoors. He loved watching the animals and spending time with
family and close friends.
Karl is survived by his only sibling, Harry and his wife Joann Stillwagon of
Florien, Louisiana; their children, Chris, Tim and Missy Stillwagon. Karl
will also be deeply missed by Vicki Doud, and her children, Michelle
Bradley, Laurie Sabata and Jonathan Sabata; and very special friends, Tom
and Bonnie Theiler of rural Osseo.
Karl was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Alta; and nephew Harry
Jonathan Stillwagon.
Private services are being planned by family and friends.
