An open house was held at the United Church of Christ, Owen (Clark Co.,
Wis.) for Mrs. Ana Sorenson, honoring her 80th birthday anniversary, on
September 14, 1974, at which her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J.W.
Thompson, were host and hostess to relatives, neighbors and friends from
1:30 to 4:00 o'clock. Over 130 guests and 50 relatives attended the
afternoon party, at which a short program was given, with Mrs. Elmer Thorsen
singing "How Great Thou Art," and a group composed of Ferne Ponta, Roberta
Thompson, John Thompson, Russell Thorsen, and Elmer Thorsen, all relatives,
sang a number of selections, with Edna Koplitz at the piano.
