Prust, Randall John (15 May 1962 - ? August 1975)
An accidental death was ruled by Clark County Coroner Robert Lulloff in an
incident near Spencer where a 13-year-old boy was found hanged.
Dead at the scene was Randall John Prust, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Prust,
Rt. 2 Spencer.
While playing in his parent’s barn, the youth apparently had gotten twisted
in baling twine hanging from a barn wall and then allegedly tripped.
Randall was taken to a Marshfield hospital where he was pronounced dead on
arrival. He was found hanging by his brother shortly after the accident.
Funeral services for Randall were held Tuesday afternoon at the Immanuel
United Methodist Church in Chili. Burial was in the church cemetery with the
Rev. Henry Bahrenburg officiating.
A seventh grade student at Loyal Junior High School, Randall was born on May
15, 1962. He was active in the school safety patrol and was a member of the
Immanuel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his parents, five brothers, Terry, Keith, Bruce, and
Kevin, two sisters, Carey and Rhonda, all at home, and his paternal
grandmother, Mrs. John Prust, Rt. 2 Spencer, and maternal grandmother, Mrs.
Ervin Drescher, Arizona.
