Britten, Jean (Marriage – 7 June 1975)
Mr. and Mrs. James E. Dodgen, Colorado Springs announce the marriage of her
daughter, Jean Britten, to Donald E. Ladvig. Vows were repeated on board the
Queen Mary at Long Beach, Ca., on June 7.
Jean is the daughter of the late David Britten of Madison and Marshfield,
and granddaughter of the late Matt Britten of Marshfield and Ernest Korth of
Colorado Springs, formerly of Neillsville, recently deceased.
The bride graduated from James Madison Memorial High School in Madison and
has since attended El Paso Community College in Colorado Springs, and
American River College, Sacramento, Ca.
Her husband is a 1973 graduate of Sacramento State University. He is the son
of Mrs. Dale F. Crosby, Roseville, Ca.
The couple resides in San Pedro, Ca. The groom is employed by a chemical
company, and the bride is assistant manager of a fashion shop.
Jean was attended by her sisters, Vicki and Barbara Britten. The bestman was
James R. Dodgen, Jr., of Riverside, Ca.
The wedding was followed by a reception dinner on board the Queen Mary.
