Donald Schneider, Superintendent of Owen-Withee Public Schools, accepted the
keys to the new 1974 4-door Nova, from Bob Bredlau, while Bernard Auberg of
Medway Chevrolet-Pontiac, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), looks on.
The presentation was made Friday afternoon. The car has a damaged floor on
its left side. General Motors has a policy of donating vehicles damaged in
transit to schools, where they are used in automotive shops where students
are trained in auto mechanics. Only schools with such a course are eligible
to apply for a car. Paper work pertaining to the application of this vehicle
was begun better than a year ago by Mr. Bredlau and Mr. Schneider.
