Barnaske, Myrtle (12 APR 1900 – 18 OCT 1974)
Rites for Mrs. John (Myrtle) Barnaske of 613 W. Third Street, Owen (Clark
Co., Wis.), were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Mrs. Barnaske died at 4:30 a.m. Friday at the Clark County Hospital in Owen.
Officiating was the Rev. George A. Becker, Pastor, and burial followed in
the Withee Riverside Cemetery.
Two services were held Sunday at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home, Ladies
Altar Society rosary service at 2 p.m. and parish rosary service at 8 p.m.
Pallbearers were Art Petke Sr., Art Petke Jr., Walter Petke, John Roytek,
William Warns and Clayton Bowe.
The former Myrtle Condon was born April 12, 1900 at Phillips, where she was
educated, and was married to John Barnaske on March 14, 1934, at
Neillsville. Following their marriage the couple moved to Owen, where she
worked for the Master Package Corporation from 1940 until 1965.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and its Ladies Altar
Society.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. James (Marjorie) Leinwinder,
Terre Haute, Indiana; a half-sister, Mrs. Noella McDonald, Chippewa Falls,
and four grandchildren.
