Mrs. Martha Grap celebrated her 97th birthday on Saturday, September 15, 1975.
Martha was born in the Globe (Clark Co., Wis.) area and resides and cares for
herself in her home on route 3, Neillsville, also located in the Globe area. She
has five sons, eleven grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, and two
great-great-grandchildren.
Visiting Martha to help celebrate her birthday were her five sons, Carl and
Walter Grap, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Grap, Rockford, Illinois; Mr. and
Mrs. Paul Grap, Greenfield, Wisconsin; and Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Grap of
Neillsville. Others included Mr. and Mrs. Bob Neusen and John, all of Milwaukee;
Tillie Kramer of Hales Corners, Wisconsin; Daniel Schwark and sons; with Mrs.
Schwark unable to attended, as they were blessed with a baby son Thursday,
September 11, Martha's last born great-grandchild; Martin Kalsow, Willard, Mr.
and Mrs. Fred Grap Jr. and family, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Ruzic and family; Mr. and
Mrs. Lewis Grap and daughter; Pastor and Mrs. Ralph Stuebs and family; Mr. and
Mrs. Roland Kalsow; Laura Kalsow, Ida Kalsow; Lillian Marge; Hedwig Schoenherr;
Mrs. Harold Thoma; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Dux; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Stiemke; and Mrs.
Ray Kalsow, all from the Neillsville area.
Martha received many cards, gifts, flowers (including a corsage made by Millie
Grap) and a phone call greeting. She received a birthday cake from
great-granddaughter, Michelle Grap, and also a cake from great-grandchildren
Sherri, Terri, Kerri, and Perry, who made and completed the cake with 97
candles.
