WILLIAM F. DETTINGER (Rep.) of Hixton, is a successful farmer and breeder of pure bred Guernsey cattle and select seed grain. A native of the town of Northfield, Jackson county, where he still lives, he was born Sept. 24, 1330, and was educated in the common schools and the College of Agriculture, University of Wisconsin. He has always lived on a farm, but was employed by the Armour Packing company for 5 years. He was president and manager of the York Creamery Association, Northfield, for three years, town supervisor from 1912 to 1915 and town chairman from 1915 to 1913. He was elected to the assembly in 1913 without opposition.
