Wilson (Rep.), of North Bend, Jackson county, was born February 3, 1839, in Falkirk, Sterlingshire, Scotland; had a common school education; is a farmer; came to the United States in 1854, and to Wisconsin in 1862, settling in the town of Melrose, Jackson county; has held various local offices; was elected assemblyman for 1880, receiving 1,776 votes against 632 for James K Horswill, Democrat
