Frank, Marjorie Lasella (13 January 1925 – 6 February 2009)

Marjorie Lasella Frank, 84, of Crystal Lake Manor in Strum, and formerly of Northfield, died Friday, Feb. 6, 2009 at Sacred Heart Hospital.

She was born Jan. 13, 1925, in Connorsville to Olaf and Anna. She married Wallace Frank in the late 1940s and they were later divorced.

Marge enjoyed playing piano, singing, listening to old-time country music and visiting with family and friends. She also enjoyed cooking and always made sure there was a hot meal on the stove for anyone who was hungry. She was well-known among family and friends for making the best potato soup around.

She is survived by her children, Gaylord (Charlene) of Alma Center, Carl (Terri) of Amery, Greg (Nancy) of Strum and Bob (Becky) of Northfield; one sister, Mable Simingson of Taylor; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; many step grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gary; a daughter, Karen; four sisters, Edith, Janette, Louise and Agnes; two brothers, Harold and Floyd; one grandson, Wayne; and special friend, Leonard Peterson.

A memorial service will take place Thursday, Feb. 11, 2009, at 1 p.m. at Stokes, Prock and Mundt Funeral Chapel, Altoona. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

The Cremation Society of Wisconsin is serving the family.
