Jossi, Mertie M. (27 MAR 1894 – 8 SEP 1975)

Mrs. Walter (Mertie M.) Jossi, 81, 408 W. Clark Street, Spencer, was dead on arrival Monday, September 8, 1975 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were held at the Rux Funeral Home, Wednesday, September 10 at 1:30 p.m. Burial was made in West Spencer Cemetery. Officiating at the services was the Rev. Virgil Taylor.

Rux Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mertie M. Tait was born March 27, 1894 at Chetek, Wisconsin.. She married Walter Jossi on February 26, 1914 at Simco, Wisconsin. In 1943 they moved to the Spencer area. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Marshfield.

Surviving, besides her husband, are three daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Crystal) Hanson, Wisconsin Rapids; Mrs. Douglas (Margaret) Kopp, Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Mrs. Harry (Violet) Steinmetz, Butternut, Wisconsin. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, and one brother, William Tait, Chetek. Two sisters preceded her in death.

Mrs. Arnold Stelzl provided organ music for the services.
