Patricia Pat A. Williams, 70, of Black River Falls died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009 at Pine View Care Center, Black River Falls.
She was born Nov. 24, 1938, in Garden Valley Township, Jackson County, to parents Roger and Grace (Patterson) Burnett. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Alma Center. She married Milo Wood in June of 1956, and they later divorced. In August of 1969 she married Clarence Williams, and he preceded her in death Feb. 7, 1978.
Patricia was employed as the manager of Band Box Cleaners in Black River Falls. She was a dedicated employee at Band Box for over 30 years, taking pride in her ability to serve the public in a friendly, efficient manner. Pat was a loving wife, grandmother and great-grandmother. In her spare time, she enjoyed going shopping, making ceramics and growing flowers. Baking apple pie and brownies were also special pastimes. Years ago, she enjoyed going snowmobiling. She also greatly enjoyed taking care of her cats.
Patricia is survived by three sons, Randy (Kelly) Wood of Black River Falls, Eugene (Julie) Wood of Dorchester and DeWayne Wood of Waterloo; two sisters, Carol Galinski of CA and Cindy Hackelburg of Clarksville, TN; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; besides other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; by her brother, James Burnett; and by her sister, Elsie Burnett.
Funeral services for Patricia Pat A. Williams were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, at the Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home, Hixton, with Reverend Terry Marg officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Trinity Rest Cemetery, Hixton. Friends called at the funeral home one hour prior to services.
