Saturday, September 13, 1975 at 1:30 p.m. Miss Cathy Marie Phillippi became the
bride of Jerald Lee Hubing, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal, with Father
Chester Osowski officiating. Miss Jody Schoonover was the organist, Miss Judy
Zettler played guitar and sang, and Mrs. Sharon Schoonover and Mrs. Diane
Anderegg sang for the occasion.
Miss Phillippi is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl J. Phillippi, route 1,
Pittsville, and Mr. Hubing is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph M. Hubing, route 2,
Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.).
The bride, given in marriage by her parents, was seen in an A-line bridal gown
of sata peau with Venice lace trimming. Her face framing headpiece of Venice
lace secured a long train veil catching her gown. She carried a cascade bouquet
of Mary Devore sweetheart roses, daisies, button pompons, baby's breath and
foliage.
Miss Becky Phillippi, route 1, Pittsville, was maid of honor. Performing as
bridesmaids were Miss Sharon Hubing, Eau Claire, Mrs. James Bornowski,
Schofield, Mrs. Jerry Phillippi, Wisconsin Rapids, and Miss Dawn Scott, Babcock.
Autumn colors of yellow, red, orange, pink, and green were chosen for their
dresses, which were empire styled, sweetheart necklines, and ruffle flounce on
skirts. Completing their ensembles were picture hats and matching baskets of
daisies, pompons, baby's breath and foliage.
Performing the duties of best man was Dale Schmidt, Loyal, and groomsmen were
Dale Goodwin, Loyal, James Bornowski, Schofield, Jerald Phillippi, Wisconsin
Rapids, and Dale Phillippi, Pittsville. Mr. Anton Singer, Marshfield and Mr.
Fred Cox Loyal, were ushers.
The reception and dance followed at the American Legion Hall.
Supper followed in the church basement and a reception and dance were held at
the Loyal American Legion Hall.
The bride is a 1972 graduate of Pittsville High School and was employed by
Weyerhaeuser Company of Marshfield. The groom graduated from Loyal High School
in 1969 and is engaged in farming, and also works for Schlinsog Dairy.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Hubing will reside on Route 2, Loyal. A honeymoon will be
taken at a later date.
