Casper, June “Lorraine” (10 March 1921 – 10 March 2009)
June “Lorraine” Casper, 88, died March 10, 2009, in Eugene, OR.
She was born March 10, 1921, in Mt. View, CA, to Forrest and Jessie (Lovejoy) Francisco. She grew up in the Florence, OR area and lived in Lane County most of her life. Lorraine married Gerald Chapelle in the late 1930s, but he was killed during WWII. She married Clarence George “Ted” Landerking in 1948; they were later divorced. They had two sons, Rodney and Dusty. She married Dale Casper in the mid-1960s and later was divorced. June lived in Black River Falls from 1963-1973.
She did all kinds of things during her life – worked on the Alaska pipeline, pulled green chain in the mills, even co-owned and operated several foster care homes with her sister, Beth.
She is survived by her sons, Rodney Landerking (and his wife Kathie) Dusty Landerking (and Susan); sisters, Roberta Anderson (and Duane) and Twyla Greer (and Ray); and four much-loved grandchildren and five treasured great-grandchildren.
