Reinart, Frank E. (14 September 1952 – 29 March 2009)

Frank E. Reinart, 56, of Merrillan died suddenly March 29, 2009, in Lake Delton, where he was attending a Vince Gill concert.

Frank was born Sept. 14, 1952, to parents Peter G. and Villa S. (Gohde) Reinart. He graduated from high school in Alma Center. He was employed as a muffler welder at Cummins Filtration-Nelson Division in Black River Falls for over 20 years.

Frank was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus Holy Family Council #4697, the Merrillan Lions Club and the Jackson County Interfaith Caregivers. He was very involved in community service and spent many hours helping the local Lions Club in its fundraising activities. He had a special talent for collecting door prizes and selling raffle tickets and, as a result, he was the holder of many records for selling the most raffle tickets and was rarely seen without having raffle tickets to sell. He also greatly enjoyed being a volunteer driver for Interfaith Caregivers, driving elderly and disabled people to needed appointments. Frank could always be counted on to assist the organizations he belonged to in a great many ways.

Frank will be remembered for a very special sense of humor and his selfless nature. He was a caregiver to his parents in their later years, enabling them to remain in their home for as long as possible.

In his spare time, Frank enjoyed attending country music shows and took several memorable trips to Branson, MO, and Nashville, TN. He also enjoyed going fishing and doing leather work. During strawberry season, he sold berries for local growers Comstock’s and Stanley’s.

Frank is survived by two brothers, Roger (Marilyn) Reinart of Black River Falls and Joe (Nancy) Reinart of Rapid City, SD; two sisters, Dorothy (Marlin) Blondey of New London and Helen (Jim) Schmidt of Clayton; and his godson, Reid Reinart, besides many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Frank E. Reinart will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2009, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Alma Center, with Reverend Father Jude Dioka officiating. Burial will take place in Saint Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Alma Center.

Friends may call at the Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home, Hixton Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with an 8 p.m. parish rosary and may also call one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
