Rohland, Michael “Mike” J. (6 APR 1953 - 29 JUL 2019)
Michael “Mike” J. Rohland, age 66, of Withee passed away on Monday, July 29,
2019 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire surrounded by his loving family.
His last act of love was to donate his corneas which two people will benefit.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 5, 2019 at St.
John’s Lutheran Church in Withee. Rev. Tom Myhre will officiate. Interment will
follow at Riverside Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome from 4:00 until
7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 4 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen and
from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Monday at the church.
Michael was born on April 6, 1953, the son of Buster and Audrey (Rossow) Rohland
in Marshfield. He graduated from Owen-Withee High School in 1972. Michael was
united in marriage in 1976 to Jean Heldt and they later divorced. He worked at
Northwest Hardwoods in Dorchester for 19 years and also dairy farmed.
Michael had a wonderful heart and would help out anyone in any way he could. He
was a staunch Republican, enjoyed blues music, loved hunting and fishing, and
helping on his daughter’s farm. Most importantly, Michael cherished his family,
especially his children and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.
Michael is survived by his four daughters: Sarah (Todd) Nelson of Withee, April
Rohland of Withee, Rachel Rohland of Curtiss and Brittany Holtzheimer of
Riplinger; six grandchildren: Kyle Lobacz, Jameson Berger, Olivia Nelson, Jacob
Nelson, Madelyn Kroening and Myles Kroening. He is further survived by seven
siblings: Cheryl Schoening of Owen, Greg Rohland of Withee, Tom (Sheri) Rohland
of Withee, Cindy Rohland (Larry) of Black River Falls, Dave Rohland (Kathy) of
Altoona, Donna Roder of Owen and Tim Rohland of Owen; his Aunt, Emily
Fijalkiewicz of Greenwood; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Jody Walworth; his
brother, Doug Rohland; two nephews: Justin and Ben Rohland.
