Stalheim, Roger A. (18 May 1945 – 29 March 2009)
Roger A. Stalheim, 63, of Chippewa Falls passed away unexpectedly Sunday, March 29, 2009, at Sacred Heart Hospital surrounded by his family.
Roger was born May 18, 1945 in Whitehall to Ernest and Selma Stalheim. Roger graduated from Taylor High School in 1963. He continued his education at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in business administration in 1972. Roger worked for Agra View, Northern Investment and more recently at United Bank for the past 10 years.
Roger loved the outdoors, including turkey hunting, deer hunting, watching birds, wildlife in general, and outdoor photography. He also loved to travel and fulfilled a lifelong dream of traveling to Norway to the Stalheim Hotel in 2007. He was well-known for his love of sharing with others everything about his adventures traveling around the United States and Europe.
Roger is survived by his fiancée (of 17 years) Patty Malloy; his three children, Laurie Stalheim, David (Julie) Stalheim, and Becky (Cory) Tennison; four grandchildren, Andrew Stalheim, Sydney Stalheim, Ellery Tennison and (soon to be) Patrick Tennison; three brothers, Merton (Helen) Stalheim, Ralph (Jeanne) Stalheim and Gordon (LaVon ) Stalheim; sister, Elaine (Howard) Punzel; extended family, (Patty’s daughter) Tracy and Tom Fleck and their children, Michael, Conner and Sonja; and many other numerous friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Selma Stalheim.
Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, Eau Clarie, with Monsignor Edmund Klimek officiating. Friends called from 4 p.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
Private interment will take place at a later date.
