Blencoe, Kenneth J. (17 August 1927 – 10 June 2009)

Kenneth J. Blencoe, 81, of Black River Falls passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at Pine View Care Center, Black River Falls.

He was born August 17, 1927, to James and Mary (Gee) Blencoe in Black River Falls.

Ken sold produce at many different stands, helped out on some farms and also worked in the woods.

He enjoyed walking and visiting with friends and family.  Ken had an excellent memory for birthdays and other special dates.  He also volunteered at Pine View Care Center, helping out with church services.

He is survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary; sister, Alva Torgerson; and brothers, Willis and Lloyd Blencoe.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 13, 2009, 11 a.m. at Buswell Funeral Home, Black River Falls.  Pastor Greg Kalyvas officiated.  Burial followed in East Lawn Cemetery, Alma Center. Family and friends were invited for visitation Saturday, June 13, 2009, from 10 a.m. until the time of the services at the funeral home.

Buswell Funeral home of Black River Falls assisted the family with arrangements.
