Ryerson, Richard “Dick” (11 June 1935 – 2 August 2009) With Flag
Richard “Dick” Ryerson, 74, of Oshkosh passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009, at his home.
Richard was born June 11, 1935, the son of Ruth Ryerson. He attended high school in Pontiac, IL, and served his country in the Army National Guard.
Richard was an over-the-road tractor-trailer operator for Crown Cork & Seal in Illinois. He was a member of Local 710 Teamsters.
Survivors include his partner of 20 years, Margaret Legois of Black River Falls; four daughters, Glenda (Bill) Belter of Pontiac, IL, Brenda (Kevin) Cook of Pontiac, IL, Pamela (Chris) Pommerening of Oshkosh and Jeannette Ryerson of Nashville, TN; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Combs, and stepfather, Bruce Combs.
Richard will not only be missed by his family but also by all his wonderful friends.
There will be a gathering Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Oshkosh Senior Center at 200 N Campbell Road Oshkosh.
Memorials may be given to the Oshkosh Senior Center in his name.
