Pieper, Clara (24 MAY 1894 – 27 SEP 1975)
Mrs. Clara Pieper, 81, Lincoln Home, Racine, a former Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.)
resident, died at 2:15 p.m. Sunday at the Becker Geriatric Center at Racine.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 1975 at Trinity
Lutheran Church, Loyal, with the Rev William Humlie officiating. Burial took
place in the Lutheran Cemetery.
The Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, was in charge of arrangements.
The former Clara Ehlers was born May 24, 1921 at Watertown. She received her
education at the Eaton Center School (Clark Co.). She was married August 11,
1921 at Neillsville to Frank Pieper, who preceded her in death October 16, 1961.
They farmed in the Town of Beaver from 1921 to 1946, when they moved to the city
of Loyal. In 1971 she moved to Racine.
She is survived by four sons, Walter, Marshfield, Clarence and John, Reedsburg,
and Rev. Frank Pieper, Ingleside, Illinois; four daughters, Mrs. Vernon (Verna)
Knuth, Reedsburg, Mrs. Tony (Edna) Cherney, Milwaukee, Mrs. Francis (Bertha)
Cook, Sheboygan Falls, and Mrs. Frank (Evelyn) Bast, Milwaukee; 24
grandchildren, and 43 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother,
Alvin Ehler, Memorial Home, Neillsville.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons and two
sisters.
