Mickelson, Alice Marie (1948? – 6 January 2010)
Alice Marie Mickelson passed away peacefully, with husband Barry singing and praising at her side Jan. 6, 2010, at the age of 61, in Brookfield, where she resided all of her married life.
Alice, born and raised in southwestern Wisconsin, received her master’s degree in nutrition and education from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. She taught middle school in Black River Falls for 17 years and also adult vocational classes.
After marrying Barry in 1986, she moved to Brookfield, where she held many jobs, including executive assistant to the presidents of major engineering companies. She left those jobs to concentrate on her first love and higher calling of facilitating Communion with God classes and praying with individuals.
Alice was a giver and will be remembered for her deep love for her Lord and for her family. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her loving husband, Barry; her beloved siblings, Dale (Sally) Kinder, Edie (Mark) Mueller, Marilyn (Mark) Simmons, Gwen (Brian) Zajicek, Nancy (David) Ward and Russell (Maria) Kinder; 10 nephews and seven nieces, as well as many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Neil and Hazel Kinder.
A time of sharing with her husband and friends will be Saturday, Jan. 16, from noon until 2 p.m. with her memorial service at 2 p.m. at Victory International Fellowship, 3825 N. Calhoun Road, Brookfield. According to her wishes, cremation and inurnment will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield.
