Work, Philip D. (23 MAY 1939 – 31 JUL 2019)

Philip D. Work, Sr., age 80, of Abbotsford, WI, passed away at Country Terrace Assisted Living, in Abbotsford, or. July 31,2019. There will be no services held.

Philip Douglas Work was born on May 23, 1939, in Marion, IN, the son of Lawrence O. and Dolores A. (Stroup) Work. As a young boy, his family moved to Pacific Palisades, CA, where he was raised and received his education. Phil entered the U.S. Navy and served until returning to the San Fernando Valley.

He went to work at Rocketdyne in Canoga Park, CA, as a machinist. He later worked for Garrett AiResearch in Phoenix, AZ, which later became AlliedSignal, McDonnell Douglas, and Boeing, in Mesa, AZ, where he retired as a Quality Control Inspector. After retiring, Phil moved to Wisconsin in 2000 where he enjoyed fishing, watching baseball, and shooting pistols.

He is survived by three children: Philip Jr. (Shelley) of Sterling, IL, Bonnie Work of Arizona, Jason of Chippewa Falls; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandsons; one brother: Terry (Faith) Work of Lancaster,
CA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Phil was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Larry, on December 20,1990.
