Elizabeth "Betty" L. Bacha, 89, formally of Lublin (Taylor Co., Wis.) passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2019, at Oakbrook Nursing and Rehab in Thorp. She was born on July 17, 1930, in Stetsonville, WI, to the late William and Esther (Bay) Albrecht. Betty attended Medford area schools and graduated from Medford High School in 1948. She also worked at Thorpedo Restaurant in Thorp for more than 20 years.

Betty will be remembered for her love of her family and her friends, her beautiful flower gardens, the
wonderful meals and desserts she served, and her talent for sewing and quilting. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren are now enjoying the quilts, pillows and needlework pieces she made throughout the years. She had a good sense of humor and loved Christmas, dancing, reading and traveling.

Betty is survived by her children: Judy Bacha of Belleville, WI, Patti (Mike) McKenzie of Plymouth, Jayne Bacha of Bedford, New Hampshire, David (Sharon) Bacha of Lublin, Kelli (Ron) Karpinski of Oshkosh, seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and one brother Donald Albrecht. She is preceded in death by her husband Andrew, her parents, her brothers: Walter, Robert, Glenn and her sister Florence Dewart.

A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2019, at Gilman Funeral Home with Father Vijay Kumar officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery-Gilman. Visitation will be from 9i30 a.m. until the time of the service.

The family would like to thank the staff at Oakbrook for the wonderful care they gave Betty during the past three years. She will be greatly missed.
