Millard, Harue (29 February 1932 – 12 February 2010)

 

Harue “Dayeko” Millard, 77, of Beloit died Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, in Mission TX.

 

She was born Feb. 29, 1932, in Oshima, Japan.  Dayeko met Fillmore G. Millard Sr. in Okinawa, Japan, and they were married July 11, 1952.  They then returned to the United States.  He predeceased her Nov. 12, 1998.

 

Dayeko was employed by Frito-lay, retiring in 1987.  She enjoyed gardening, birds and the outdoors.  Dayeko loved traveling and spending time with her much-loved family and friends who loved her as much in return.  She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, which is now the River of Life United Methodist Church.

 

Survivors include her children, Jack (Traci) Millard of Beloit, Wanda (Ron) Liptow of Alma Center and John (Hilary) Millard of Burbank, CA; grandchildren, Cecelia (Bill) Bos, Devan Millard, Caitlin Millard, Dawn (Tim) Sachs and Cheryl (Terry) Davis; great-grandchildren, Ronald Millard, Jordan Bos and Ashley McDougal; sister, Wakai of Japan; sisters-in-law, Olive Ezell of Black Eagle, MT, and Vernice “Sis” (Clarence) Sanders of Highwood, MT; brother-in-law, Spencer “Bob” (Phyllis) Millard of Black River Falls; and numerous well-loved nieces and nephews.

 

She was predeceased by her parents, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Charlotte and Les Windsor, Ila Jane Wolf, Lula and Gene Huffman, Lee Millard, Eugene and Carmen Millard, Gyle and Eunice Millard.

 

Memorial services are being planned in Mission, TX.  There will be services held in Beloit and Alma Center in the spring.  Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery at Alma Center.

 

Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium 23555 Cranston Road, Beloit, assisted the family with arrangements.
