Eveland, John Michael (3 April 1977 – 16 February 2010)
John M. Eveland, 32, of Black River Falls died unexpectedly Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010 at his home.
John Michael Eveland was born to Donald and Carol (Nelson) Eveland April 3, 1977, in Minneapolis, MN. John lived in Backus, MN, and later moved to Black River Falls where he spent most of his life.
John loved that he could share his passion of cars with his sons. He had an amazing talent of working on cars and computers and spending time with his kids.
He had worked at numerous auto shops in the Black River Falls area, including Gary’s Auto Body and Rick’s Certified Auto.
John is survived by three sons, Xavier, Kane and Mason Eveland, all of Black River Falls; two daughters, Jada and Hannah Eveland, both of Black River Falls; his father and stepmother, Donald and Mary Eveland of Backus, MN; five sisters, Kim (Ernesto) Mendez of Black River Falls, Cindi Eveland and Lori Thompson, both of Minnesota, and Shari Phillips and Sandra Lobban of Texas; a brother, Mark Eveland of Black River Falls; good friends and the mothers of his children, Jamie Smothers and Alicia Youngthunder; 17 nieces and nephews; special lifelong friends, Kevin Gilbertson, Ryan Newell and Daniel Brown; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Eveland.
Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, at 6 p.m. at Buswell Funeral Home, Black River Falls. Pastor Kevin Newell officiated. Family and friends were invited for visitation from 4 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Memorials are preferred to either Project Christmas of Jackson County or the Boys and Girls Club of Jackson County.
Buswell Funeral Home of Black River Falls assisted the family with arrangements.
