Lechner, Marjorie F. (7 January 1951 – 28 February 2010)
Marjorie F. Lechner, 59, of Black River Falls died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, in Black River Falls from injuries she sustained in an automobile accident in Black River Falls.
She was born Jan. 7, 1951, in Black River Falls to Edward E. and Betty A. (Poff) Gehring. She was raised in Black River Falls, attended school at the Gebhardt School and graduated from High School in 1969. Marjorie married Kenneth F. Lechner in Winona, MN, May 2, 1970.
After the couple returned to Black River Falls from Indiana, Marjorie was employed as an after-school program director at the Black River Child Care Center. Marjorie enjoyed spending time with her beloved family and grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Kenneth D. (Melissa) Lechner and Connie M. (Hugh) Seiber, both of Black River Falls; three sisters, Betty (Victor) Johnson and Mary Reinstra, both of Black River Falls, and Dorothy Christenson of Hixton; four grandchildren, Bryce, Brianna, Hunter and Mason; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents. (Her husband Kenneth died the same day of injuries sustained in the same automobile accident that Marjorie died of injuries from.)
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 5, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Black River Falls. Reverend John Steiner will officiate, and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Black River Falls.
Relatives and friends may call at Torgerson’s Funeral Home (715-284-4321), Black River Falls Thursday from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. and at the church Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
The family prefers memorials be given to either the Jackson County Animal Shelter or to the American Diabetes Association.
