PFC Alvin Engum has been home on a furlough from North Carolina.
The Wyss farm has been sold to Ward KcKees of Milwaukee, an owner of Pan American airlines.
Robert Davis, 17, was almost instantly killed when his motorcycle collided with a truck near the mill on Squaw Creek.
Selectees will leave September 23 and the group includes: Spencer Miller, Leroy Wagner, Joe Waller, Arnold Giese, James D. Wyss, Carlyle Nordstrom, Francis Sacia, John Wiggen, Gordon Rudkin, Lyle M. Hung, Millard Bills, Harvey Krueger, Wm Stabes, Ray Miller, Nelson Tucker.
