Peterson, Roland LeMoine (21 February 1942 – 22 March 2010)
Roland “Rollie” LeMoine Peterson, 68, Neenah, died Monday, March 22, 2010, while resting comfortably at home following a brief struggle with cancer.
Roland was born Feb. 21, 1942, in Black River Falls to the late Russell “Russ” and Betty Peterson.
Roland attended college at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, majoring in mathematics and chemistry. He worked first as a chemist for a short time and then as a computer programmer for the rest of his life. In retirement, he started a small business selling fishing lures.
He enjoyed fishing, gardening, stamp collecting and genealogy work. He also enjoyed large jigsaw puzzles and was working on a 12,000 piece, German produced puzzle at the time of his death.
Roland is survived by his wife, Betty, Neenah; brother, Dale, Nehalem, OR; son, Scott, Appleton; and grandchildren, Taylor and Kayla of Appleton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
