Houser, Jane Elizabeth (30 July 1958 – 28 March 2010)
Jane Elizabeth Houser, 51, of Hixton passed away Sunday, March 28, 2010 at her home.
She was born July 30, 1958, in Neillsville to Donald and Myrtle (Tomczak) Houser. She grew up on the Houser family farm and graduated from Alma Center Lincoln High School in 1976. She went on to attend the University of Wisconsin-Stout majoring in art studies, a life-long interest of hers.
Following school she had a variety of different jobs, but the first was as an attentive caregiver to both parents during their extended illnesses.
Jane enjoyed riding and caring for horses. She also enjoyed ceramics, art and her cats.
She is survived by her sisters Mary Jill (Rile) Pierce of Silver Springs, NM, and Merida (Larry Zimmerman) Houser of Stevens Point; brothers John (Julie) Houser of Alma Center, Paul (Patty) Houser of Onalaska and Jeffrey (Wendy) Houser of Madison; nieces and nephews; Laura and Amanda Zimmerman and Sarah, Donald and Jeremy Houser; besides other relatives, family and friends.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Myrtle Houser.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 5, 2010, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Alma Center with Father Jude T. Dioka officiating. Burial took place in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Alma Center. Family and friends were invited for visitation Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
The Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home of Hixton, Wisconsin, assisted the family with arrangements.
