Mason, Mr./Mrs. George (25th Anniv. – 21 Feb. 1960)
Silver Anniversary for the George Masons
Mr. and Mrs. George Mason were pleasantly surprised on Sunday afternoon, February 21, 1960 by a host of relatives, close friends and neighbors, the occasion being their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary. The party which was a success to the last detail, was planned by their two sons, Gene and Max.
Harriet Peterson and George Mason were married, February 23, 1935 at the parsonage in Black River Falls by Pastor A. M. Romstad. Their attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Peterson, and both were present for the occasion Sunday.
Mrs. Arland Peterson had charge of the guest book. After the first piece of cake had been cut by the bride and groom of twenty-five years, Mrs. Archie Emerson, a sister of Mrs. Mason, cut and served the cake to the guests. Mrs. Russell Holmgreen, a cousin of Mrs. Mason poured.
Snow in Madison prevented George's mother, Mrs. Sophie Mason and his sister, Mrs. Everett Russell from being there for the occasion.
