------ Kollath, Rev. Fred (12 JAN 1903 – 7 MAR 1964)
The Rev. Fred Kollath, 61, pastor of the Piece
Evangelical Church at Dorchester and the Community Evangelical Church at
Medford, died unexpectedly March 7 shortly after 4 p.m.
He was at the Medford Clinic waiting to consult a
physician when his death occurred Saturday.
The Rev. W. H. Ortwein of Wausau conducted the funeral
services Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Medford at the Community Evangelical church.
Military services followed and interment was made in Pine Grove Cemetery
at Wausau.
He was born in Wausau Jan. 12, 1903 and received his
secondary education there. After his
ordination to the Ministry at Wausau he served as pastor in Indiana and enlisted
in the Army as chaplain in 1942.
After his honorable discharge in 1946 he became pastor of the Dorchester and
Medford churches.
He was a member of the American Legion and several
Masonic bodies.
He is survived by his wife, the former Alice Tauchen and
two sisters and a brother.
