Rev. Ihno Janssen, 75, who served his first congregation,
the Bethlehem Lutheran church at Milan and helped organize the Christ Lutheran
church at Abbotsford, while at Milan and St. John’s, town of Holton, died late
Wednesday evening, March 4 of a heart attack at his home at Merrill.
He had been in semi-retirement since 1956 but continued to serve the St.
Paul’s congregation southwest of Merrill, where funeral services were held at 3
p.m. Sunday.
Mrs. Ida Parge and Mrs. Alma Bedroeske of Abbotsford and
former Abbotsford residents who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Richard
Preller and family of Green Bay, Mrs. Herman Corneliu and Mrs. Herbert Wilhelmi,
Marshfield and Mrs. Alfred Preller of Merrill.
