Greenwood (27 June 1968)
The Youth Fellowship will meet in Immanuel United Church Sunday at 8 p. m. Hosts
will be the Walter Rasmussen and Arvin Liebzeit families.
Jane Ann Fravert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Fravert of Greenwood, returned
Saturday after spending a week in Madison. Jane Ann was chosen for Badger Girl’s
State by her good citizenship, active participation in school activities and
scholastic ability. She was sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary of
Greenwood to attend the 25th anniversary of Badger Girl’s State.
The Rev. David Logue returned Saturday after spending a week at Moon Beach Camp,
St. Germaine, where he was a counselor at the junior age camp.
Mr. and Mrs. George Stark have returned after spending a month in California
visiting relatives and friends. In California they spent some time with Mrs.
John Vollrath and daughters and visited Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Franz in Sturgis, S.
D.
Mr. and Mrs. Myron Kenyon returned Thursday after attending the annual Methodist
State conference at Green Lake, and visiting relatives in Milwaukee and the
Harvey Humke family in Green Bay.
The Forest Queen Royal Neighbor Camp will meet July 1 in the basement of Zion
United Church. Hostesses will be Mrs. Frances Hinker and Mrs. Burton Jollivette.
The Women’s Guild which was scheduled to meet in Zion United Church July 4, will
meet instead on Tuesday afternoon, July 2. Hostesses will be Mrs. Alma Busch and
Mrs. Adolph Abel. Mrs. Hugh Severson will be in charge of the program.
The Women’s Guild will meet in Immanuel United Church, Wednesday afternoon, July
3. Mrs. Erna Wehrman and Mrs. Adolph Wendt will be the hostesses.
Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Wessel and Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Wessel were guests Sunday
evening at the Glenn Horn home in Thorp. Mrs. Ida Horn returned here with them
after a week’s visit at the Horn home in Thorp.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Adams and family and Mrs. Carl Stabnow spent Sunday in
Stevens Point.
