Witek, Mary (15 MAR 1879 - 17 APR 1964)
Funeral services were held at St. Stanislaus Parish with Father Cyz officiating
for Mrs. John M. Witek of Lublin, who passed away at Victory Memorial Hospital
on April 17, 1964.
She was born in Poland (Mary Swiatek) on May 15, 1879. She came to Chicago when
she was a young girl and in 1906 she was married to John M. Witek. They moved to
Lublin in 1912 and farmed in the town of Roosevelt (Taylor Co., Wis.) until they
retired in 1949. Since that time they made their home with their son, Peter.
She leaves to mourn, her husband John, four daughters, (Stella) Mrs. Tom
Nowicki, Chicago, (Sophie) Mrs. Eddie Latko, Chicago, (Rose) Mrs. Rose
Malinowski, Withee, (Lillian) Mrs. Spiro DeSon, Montebello, Calif., also three
sons, John, Withee, Frank, Withee, Peter, Lublin, also one daughter Vernie
preceded her in death. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 27
great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dennis Miller, Jim Albert, Stanley Halida, Jerry Wnek, Ray
Kroll and Walter Bak.
Relatives and friends from out of town were from Chicago, Milwaukee, California,
Withee and Thorp.
