The Clark County Rural Letter Carriers convention was held here Monday and a very interesting session enjoyed.  Among those in attendance were:  Fay McCray of Owen, Percy Free of Withee, Fred Bohnheff of Columbia, Chas. Lindow of Chili, Geo. Barker of Abbotsford, O. Neverman, John H. Walk, Richard Welsh, W.E. Foreman and Blucher Paulus of Neillsville; Albert Mabie, B. Tykac, L.G. Morris and R.C. Beecher of this place with Postmaster A.E. Dudley of Neillsville, Aug. Schlender of Columbia and J.M. Tompkins of Granton.  Carrier W.E. Forman of Neillsville, Route 3 has seen 11 years of service and can tell of many interesting and pleasurable experiences falling to his lot through his work on the route.  Percy Free and B. Tykac have each completed their first year’s service within the last three months.  The Granton carriers entertained the bunch at the Eagle Hotel for dinner and a right social good time was enjoyed.  The delegates elected to the state convention which is to be held at Green Bay on May 29th and 30th, 1914 are as follows:  W.E. Foreman of Neillsville, Geo. Andrews of Greenwood, F. Bohnheff of Columbia and Fay McCray of Withee.  A noteworthy feature of this meeting was a motion made and carried that all of the county’s substitute carriers be admitted to the association as honorary members.  The next meeting of the association is to be held at Withee on Labor Day, Sept. 7th, 1914.
