An association which will be known as the County Advancement Association of Clark County was organized at Neillsville last Thursday night at a convention held there by about 60 cashier and directors of the various banks of the county. While no definite plans were made at that meeting as to the mutual benefit and advancement, it was a very enjoyable gathering and judging from the friendly feeling and good fellowship which seems to exist among the banks, the association is bound to be a success and it purpose is bound in time to be of great value to his county. The following officers were elected: W.L. Hemphill, Pres., K. Andrews, vice president; W.S. Davis, secretary; and Ross Lawrence, treas. The committees appointed by the president are: Committee on general details—W.L. Hemphill, Wm. Tufts and W.S. Davis, Committee on resolutions—Harry Haselett, Wm. Tufts and W.S. Davis. It was voted to hold the next meeting at Owen the second Tuesday in June. After the business meeting, the delegation was escorted to the Hotel Hamilton where they enjoyed an elegant banquet as the guests of the three Neillsville banks
