Henry Fisse (7 September 1895 - 2 December 1960)
Henry Fisse, native of this community, died unexpectedly Dec. 2 at his home at
Ashland, where he moved about four years ago. Funeral rites were held on Dec. 5
from Kingdom Hall in the town of Mayville, with Ervin Nordin of Jehovahs
Witnesses in charge. Burial was in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery, and pallbearers
were Otto Becker, David Minch, Rudy Hein, Frank Janko, Russell Weir, and John
Klabunde.
Henry Fisse was born Sept. 7, 1895, in the town of Mayville, and lived here most
of his life. He and Anna Ruprich were married here on Sept. 12, 1928. The couple
farmed in the town of Little Black until 1956, when the family moved to a farm
in the Ashland community. He had resided there since.
Survivors include his widow, two daughters, Lorraine, at home, and Mrs. Harley
(Darlene) Breneman, Fennimore; one grandchild; two brothers and a sister, Gust,
Richard, and Emma, all residents of Curtiss.
A brother preceded him in death.
