Rosie K. Semenic, 90, Ripon, formerly of Willard, passed away on Monday, Jan.
28, 2013, at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon. Funeral serviced were held at
11 a.m., on Thursday, Jan. 31, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Rev.
Donald Delke officiated. Interment followed at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon.
Rosie Kuznacic was born on June 3, 1922, in Willard, the daughter of Blas’e and
Goldie (nee Cakanic) Kuznacic. In 1942, she married Joseph Peter Semenic in
Chicago, Ill. During World War ll, she worked for Western Electric. In 1953,
Rosie and Joseph bought a farm near Neshkoro and farmed there until1988, when
they moved to Ripon. Rosie was a homemaker and a member of the American Legion
Auxiliary. She enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, feeding the birds, sewing
and baking. She enjoyed all the neighborhood children calling her “Grandma” as
they came to get their treats.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna (Patrick) Nowlin, Stoughton, and Mary
(George) Ballard, Ripon; one grandson, Jim (HollyBreach) Nowlin, McFarland; two
brothers, Paul Kuznacic, Plymouth, and George (Marie) Kuznacic, Sheboygan; one
sister-in-law, Julia Kuznacic, Sheboygan; and many nieces and nephews.
Rosie was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; two brothers, Tony Kuznacic
and John Kuznacic; two sisters, Barbara Markusch and Ann Dekanich; two
sisters-in-law, Lorraine Kuznacic and Delores Kuznacic; and a brother-in-law,
Edward Dekanich.
