Miss Ruby Nelson, 205 S. Chestnut Street, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Nelson,
route 2, Spencer, became the bride of Thomas G. Sternweis, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Anton Sternweis, route 3 Marshfield, at a Nuptial High Mass celebrated by the
Rev. Edmund Cramer at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Marshfield at
9:00 a. m. June 11.
The matron of honor, Mrs. John Sternweis, sister in law of the groom, wore aqua
ninon over taffeta and carried carnations and sweet peas.
The best man was John Sternweis, brother of the groom.
Bridesmaids were Misses Maxine Walden and Florence Stini, cousins of the bride
and groom respectively. They were gowned in pink and yellow ninon over taffeta
and also carried carnations and sweet peas.
The groomsmen were Glen Bodendorfer and Joe Dieringer cousins of the bride and
groom.
The bride wore white ninon over taffeta, styled with a train. Her long veil was
caught to a seed pearl crown. She carried red roses in combination with lilies
and swansonia.
A wedding breakfast was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Sternweis,
cousins of the groom, and a reception for 90 guests was held at the home of the
grooms parents, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Sternweis. A shower and dance in compliment
to the couple were held at Bakerville on that night.
Mr. and Mrs. Sternweis will make their home on the groom’s farm near Chili
following their return from their honeymoon,
The Record joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best
wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
