Fischer, Cecelia (1947)

Seubert-Fischer

The Rev. Joseph Graf celebrated the Nuptial Mass at Christ the King Catholic Church, Sunday, which united Miss Cecelia Kathryn Fischer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Fischer, in marriage to Andrew Conrad Seubert Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Seubert, Marshfield, route 4.

Mrs. Seubert was gowned in white nylon net over taffeta styled with a sweetheart neckline and long train. She wore a full length veil draped from a sweetheart bonnet trimmed with pearlized flowers. She carried red roses and white carnations.

The matron of honor was Mrs. Lawrence Fischer, sister-in-law of the bride, while Lawrence Fischer, the bride’s brother, was best man.

Bridesmaids were Ruth Seubert, Milwaukee, cousin of the groom, and Lorraine Fischer, Milwaukee, cousin of the bride.

The groom’s other attendants were Robert Fischer, cousin of the bride and James Seubert, Marshfield, a brother of the groom. Raymond LaBarge, Loyal, ushered.

Also included in the bridal group were the groom’s neices [sic], Yvonne and Sharon Verhoven, Wausau. They were dressed in white net over taffeta and wore sweetheart bonnets. They carried pink and yellow carnations.

The bride’s attendants wore white net dresses with sweetheart necklines and carried pink roses and white carnations.

Breakfast was served the bridal party at the home of the groom’s parents, and dinner and supper were served at the home of the bride, where a reception was also held. A dance honoring the couple was held at the Country Ballroom during the evening.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Seubert have been employed by the Northern Auto Supply Company of Marshfield. They will make their home on St. Joseph St., Marshfield, when they return from their honeymoon which they plan to spend in California and in Texas. They will be at home after August 1.

The Record joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
