WEST SPENCER
Mrs. J. E. Cross

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hilder were guests of honor at a wedding shower given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Pickett Saturday evening. Mrs. Earl Pickett was assisted by her daughter Ione and Mrs. Louis Seefeld. Many nice gifts were received by the honor guests. Guests from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Powers and sons Lynn and Harland of Baraboo; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hornick, North Freedom; and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kraup, Thorp.

The following were Sunday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pickett; Mr. and Mrs. Ken Hilder, Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Krarup and sons, Thorp; Mrs. Leland Hebert and sons, Unity; Miss Marlene Toltzman, Spencer.

Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Cross called at the Frank Pickett home Friday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Cross, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Esser of Marshfield were Thursday evening callers at the J. E. Cross and Wm. Luepke homes.

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Oestrich and son of Loyal were Sunday evening guests at the home of Mrs. Albert Seefeld.

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hilder of Minneapolis called at the J. E. Cross home Saturday.

The following from this vicinity attended the Clark County Field Day at the Clark County Hospital Farm at Owen Tuesday: Mr. and Mrs. Lee Schoefield and family, Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Meacham and family, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Deithman and family, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Cross and son James.
