Pleasant Ridge (4 July 1968)
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Lezotte entertained their nine children and husbands or wives,
and their 27 grandchildren at a family gathering Sunday. Miss Grace Lezotte of
Memorial Home also was present.
A family gathering was held Sunday at the home of Elsie Wolf. Those from away
were: Mr. and Mrs. Walter Klapper of Cecil; Mr. and Mrs. Orville Klapper and
family of Menasha; Shirley Magnuson and Marion Hantke of Minneapolis, Minn.,
Mrs. Anita Slocomb of Menomonie, Mrs. Minnie Krueger of Milwaukee, and Erlan
Quinn of Cumberland. Those from this area were: Ella Magnuson, Hilda Kurth, Mr.
and Mrs. Tony Hantke, Genevieve and Polly Hantke.
Mr. and Mrs. Otto Liskow of Bradenton, Fla., who have been visiting in the
Neillsville area for two weeks, called Monday at the Genevieve Hantke home.
Mr. and Mrs. Verne G. Howard returned home Monday from Brookfield where they
visited their son, Loren H. Howard, and family.
Miss Judy Howard, who was recently graduated from Hamline University in
Minneapolis, Minn., has employment in a hospital in Moose Lake, Minn. She
started her new work Thursday.
Glenn Short and Vern Smith made a business trip by plane to Milwaukee Friday.
Tom Short and Bob Gaier drove to St. Louis, Mo., Sunday to visit Wayne Short.
The Pleasant Ridge Homemaker club held their annual picnic in Schuster Park
Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Drescher were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Free
in the Town of York, who entertained in honor of the baptism of their infant
son, David Alan. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Drescher of Wisconsin
Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Herb Free of Loyal, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Buchholz and
family of Christie, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hoeft of Granton and Mrs. Mary Hanson and
two sons of Marshfield.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Jacobs and daughters of Wausau visited her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Roy Stanley Thursday.
