William Beisner (7 Mar 1849 – 30 Sep 1933)
Dorchester friends were saddened to learn of the death of Wm. C. Beisner, who passed away at the farm home in the town of Mayville last Saturday evening, Sept. 30th, at 9 o’clock. Death was due to apoplexy. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the St. Peter’s Lutheran church, of which he was a charter member, with Rev. J. Brandt officiating. Interment was made in the Memorial cemetery with eight sons, Erick, Henry, Fred, Wm. H., Albert, Richard, Herman and Arthur acting as pallbearers.

Wm. C. Beisner was born in Hanover, Germany, March 7, 1849 and was 84 years, 6 months and 23 days old at time of death. He grew to manhood in his native home and in 1880 came to this country and settled on a farm 3 ½ miles southwest of the village which he had purchased from D. O. Militmore. On November 11, 1883 he was united in marriage to Miss Charlotte Dake at the old log school house in Dist. No. 7. Eleven children were born to this union, three of whom preceded him in death. A grandson born on his eightieth birthday, now four years old, and three granddaughters were flower bearers.

He leaves to mourn his loss a wife and eight sons, Henry F., Wm. Jr., Richard E., Erick G., Fred W., Arthur W., Herman and Albert all of Dorchester with the exception of Richard who lives at Tappen, N. D., and Arthur, who lives at Marshfield, and 11 grandchildren.

Out of town relatives and friends attending the services were Richard Beisner, Tappen, N. D., Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Beisner, and son, Billy, Marshfield, Fred and Harry Dake, Elco, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dake, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Dake, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Baehr, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kramer, and son, Orin, all of Milan, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kock, Wausau, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Stock, and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Laack, Abbotsford, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Tennis, and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mandel, Unity, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Johnson, and Mr. and Mrs. Jake Johnson, Curtiss, Mr. and Mrs. A. Butler, Wm. Mueller, Walter Mueller, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Weller and Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Mueller, Colby, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Carteron and son, Greenwood, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Neuman, Spencer, Mrs. James Pow- (Clipping is cut off)
