Mr. and Mrs. Sam Rankin of Hyattsville, Md., visited her brother and wife, Mr.
and Mrs. Van L. Kayser, a few days last week. Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Kayser and
their guests visited at the Garfield Freeberg home in Eau Claire. The Kayser’s
granddaughter, ma3ry Freeberg, took part in a rodeo in Richland Center Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ollie Poler visited their daughter, Mrs. Milton Johnson and family
in Eau Claire Saturday and Sunday. They were joined Sunday by two other
daughters, Mrs. Fred Harder of Watertown, and Mrs. Lester Sledden of Eau Claire,
and their families.
Misses Pearle and Daphne Beeckler and Miss Mabel Williams visited Mrs. Jessie
Beeckler in Neillsville Sunday evening.
The Men’s Club annual picnic was held Sunday in the Zion Lutheran Church.
William Kammerer entered the Marshfield hospital Monday.
The Women’s Society of Christian Service of the Granton United Methodist Church
will have no meeting in July because many members are on vacation. The next
meeting is scheduled for August 1.
Mrs. Sophia Moore of Escondido, Cal., and Mrs. Elsie Poole of Chicago, Ill. are
visiting their sister, Mrs. Emma Nowack.
Wilbur Goebel, a medical patient in Memorial Hospital in Neillsville for several
days is slowly improving.
Mrs. Dorothy Crandall, special auditor for Fidelity Camp R. N. A., Mrs. Otto
Schmidtke and Mrs. Lloyd Spry will audit the books of Mrs. Ella Eibergen,
recorder, and Mrs. William Schmidtke, receiver, Friday at the home of Mrs.
Eibergen.
