Evelyn (Gruber) Hugoboom (19 Jun 1909 - 12 Aug 1974)

Funeral services were held Thursday at Tims Memorial Presbyterian church, Lutz, Fla. for Mrs. R Wayne Hugoboom, 65, Tampa, Fla., a former Medford (WI) resident who died August 12 at the Tampa General hospital. Rev James T Richardson officiated and burial took place in Sunset Memory Gardens, Tampa. The body lay in state at the Duval Northside Chapel.

The former Evelyn E Gruber was born June 19, 1909 at Merrill (WI) and as a small child moved to Medford where she received her education. She was married here (Medford, WI) March 5, 1944 to R Wayne Hugoboom.

Following secretarial training at Milwaukee, she was employed here by Hurd Millwork Corp until 1947. She then joined her husband at Bloomington, Ind., moving to Huntington W Va., in 1950 where she was employed for eight years as a secretary. Upon moving to Florida, Mrs. Hugoboom was employed by the First Federal Savings & Loan Assn from 1958 until 1961 and then employed with the Tampa Federal Savings & Loan Assn, working as a loan officer until mid-July of this year.

She was a member of the AAL and the Tims Memorial church and a former member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran church, Medford.

Surviving are her husband and a brother, Alvin Gruber, Rutherford.
