Funeral services for Lloyd Kayhart, 50, former town of Holton resident, were held from Polnaszek Funeral Home in Abbotsford Sunday, Aug 28. The Rev Harold Welch, pastor of Salem Evangelical United Brethren church here, officiated at the rites at 2 PM. Miss Pauline Zimmerman was organist, and played accompaniment for Miss Alice Tauchen who sang “The Old Rugged Cross” and Beautiful Isle of Somewhere” for the funeral.

Mr. Kayhart succumbed to a heart attack Thursday, Aug 25, at Green Bay, where he had moved two months ago to accept employment and reside with his mother and sister.

Burial was in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery with nephews of the deceased serving as pallbearers: Verlyn Beyries of Spencer, Dennis Kayhart of Abbotsford, Clem Loos of Loyal, Ray Nevala of Withee, Elmer Bomback and Albert Zorman of Willard. Polnaszek Funeral home had charge of arrangements.

Lloyd Lyle Kayhart was born Sept 23, 1909, in the town of Holton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Kayhart. His mother survives him. He never married and spent most of his life in the Dorchester and Abbotsford area, also farming west of Unity for a number of years. About two years ago he went to reside with his mother and sister at Green Bay, then last September moving to Abbotsford, where he resided until two months ago when he went back to Green Bay.

Surviving besides his mother, Mrs. Ada Kayhart, are four sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Ernest (Blanche) Beyries, Marshfield, Mrs. Raymond (Helen) Wieland, Selah, Wash, Mrs. Idella Collier, Green Bay, Mrs. Ferdinand (Dorothy) Meyer, Isabella, Minn., Albert Kayhart, Abbotsford, and Donald Kayhart, Marshfield.

Attending the funeral rites from here were Joel Winchell, Harold Winchell, Mrs. Nora Lang, Mr. and Mrs. Max Wilke, Mrs. William Malchow.
