Gustine Leonhard (28 Aug 1893 - 1948?)
Mrs. Fred Leonhard, 55, 509 S. Vine Street, (Marshfield, WI) died of a heart
attack at her home at 11:55 p.m. last night. She had just returned from a card
party at Sacred Heart School.
A Requiem High Mass will be read Thursday morning at 8 o’clock at Sacred Heart
of Jesus Catholic Church, the Rev. Edmund Cramer officiating. Interment will
take place at Hillside cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the Rembs Funeral Home beginning Tuesday
afternoon. Combined general rosary and a rosary service by the Holy Name Society
will be held at 8 o’clock Wednesday evening.
Mrs. Leonard, the former Gustine Krainak, was born Aug. 28, 1893, in Dorchester.
She attended the Dorchester schools and was married to Fred Leonhard on Oct. 5,
1927, at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Dorchester. They lived in Dorchester
until a year ago last July, when they moved to Marshfield.
She is survived by her husband, a son, Paul, and a daughter, Marcella, both at
home; one brother, Herman, Dorchester, and six sisters, Anna Krainak,
Dorchester, Mrs. Mary Stowers, Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Michael Kacsir, Ironwood,
Mich., Mrs. John Lindberg, Evanston, Ill., Mrs. Earl Meyers, Racine, and Mrs.
Peter Wanke, Athens.
One sister and two brothers preceded her in death.
