Weber, Esther M. (1947)
Luepke-Weber
St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, McMillan, was the setting for the marriage of Miss
Esther M. Weber, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Weber, of route 4, Marshfield,
to Leonard T. Luepke, route 2 Spencer; at 2 p. m. Saturday. The Rev. Dietrich
Kuehl read the nuptial service.
Miss Delores Weber, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and Elroy Luepke,
brother of the groom, was best man. Other attendants included bridesmaids, Miss
Violet Mannigel, Marshfield and Miss Virginia Schier, Port Edwards; groomsmen,
LaVern Weber, brother of the bride, and Vernon Foth, Port Edwards, cousin of the
groom.
The bride wore a colonial gown styled with a lace bodice and ninon skirt. Her
full length veil bordered with lace was caught to a love-bird headdress. She
carried a bouquet of red roses and white gladioli. The gowns of her attendants
were similarly styled. The maid of honor was dressed in pink ninon and wore a
matching hat. The bridesmaids wore peach and blue gowns respectively, and
matching hats. They carried bouquets of white gladioli and pink carnations.
Following the ceremony, 150 guests attended a reception at the home of the
bride’s parents.
The bride was employed by the Albert Weinbrenner Shoe Manufacturing Company. The
groom is engaged in farming. The couple will make their home at the grooms farm,
Spencer.
The Record joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best
wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
